The terrible heat is in the street�! Thirty degrees in shadow. I can’t take such temperature. But when I see, how it is difficult for my dogs, it becomes even worse to me. Dogs have lost any interest to day time walk. In the street they try to keep in the shadow all time. They refuse to walk. They agree to the long walks only on 6-7am or 10-11pm o’clock. They suffer equally: boxers, with their short muzzle and short-haired mastiffs, with their long enough muzzles. Our neighbor, the black terrier, simply pines with heat. An assurance of cynologists, that the rigid volumetric wool of terriers rescues dogs from heat, in practice are not true. It is hard to look at sheep-dog Dezi. She tries to kip form very much. But she looks as the thawn ice-cream. And I start strongly worries.

Comment of kira: if in the afternoon quickly-quickly to run in a shadow, to solve all questions. And then quickly-quickly to return to the house and to fall a stomach to a cold floor still it is possible to struggle with this heat. If heat becomes the greater, we shall demand from mum of cold milk as indemnification.

Coffee is harmful habit too. But how can Kira understand this? Kira runs on kitchen faster a lightning when I open bank of coffee. I cannot pour coffee only to myself. Kira will not forgive it to me. And it is not important for her whether I drink coffee. It is important, that coffee would drink Kira. She can drink coffee from the bowl, can from cup or even to lick it from a saucer. The sandwich to coffee is not obligatory. And even it is possible without cheese. Kira is ready to refuse much. But not coffee. I know the favorite recipe of coffee �from Kira� - cold sweet coffee with cream. Kira even can work as good girl for a cup of such coffee. I think that this �harmful habit� is very useful for Kira.
Varvara has �harmful habit� too. Chocolate. It is possible are sweet. It is possible bitter. It is possible black. It is possible dairy. With impurity. Without impurity. My strong Varvara become very weak when she saw chocolate. She is ready to elicit chocolate from those who does not guess to treat with her. She can loudly elicit chocolate from those who convinces Varvara, that chocolate is harmful for dogs. She can even steal a bar of chocolate from a table. And only after all chocolate is eaten and the piece of paper is licked, Varvara start to conscience. If you saw that especial happy look of Varvara, when she eats chocolate you would never name chocolate a harmful habit.
And if these habits are not too harmful, I will go on kitchen. I shall cook to myself coffee. Take chocolate! Is a pity, but cigarettes are not necessary for me. I do not smoke. And not eat cigarettes!

From Kira: frequently it seems to people, that they know well enough about the world of dogs. That you understand our life. That you can give us the recommendations. That you can make comments on our acts. You consider that having lived sixteen years together with a dog it is possible to consider yourself the expert on the dog souls. Instead of would you like to listen to a dog that all her life lives with the people? First, for me it is absolutely unclear, what for to complicate the life so? What for are there so much not necessary things? Everywhere in the house a thing, a thing, a thing … What for to litter the dwelling so? If there is less furniture in a room, there is more place for games. In an empty room it is possible to run, jump and play a ball. It is possible for one. But it is better with other dogs. I understand – a sofa a good piece. It is possible to lay on it. It is possible to jump on it too. It is warm on it in the winter. In the summer - is closer to an open window. But what for chairs? What’s bed in a floor? What for to drag behind itself “a support under itself”? In fact it is easier without it. Where has wanted – there and sit. It is possible near a bowl. It is possible near to the friend. It is possible to sit on the friend. All it is good and cheerful. And what for your lying on a sofa and watching TV. What for to you moving pictures which do not smell, which cannot be caught, with which it is impossible to play, which are useless? You can go on street at the desire. Why do you absolutely do not appreciate it. There the sun which heats. There a wind which smells. Many familiar dogs and people with whom it is possible to communicate. It is possible to go to a new place and to find new friends. Certainly, the house is necessary for each person and each dog. The house is a place where your friends and a bowl full of meal wait for you. But the house is necessary not for constant repair. Smelly banks of paints, rolls of wall-paper with which it is impossible to play, another’s people in your house … Is it good? What for it to you? What pleasure you receive from it? Tell us. Please. Polar explorers love their pets - penguins very much. And care of this birds. There is a special work at polar station: “The person who overturns penguins”. The problem consists in the following. Penguins are very curious. And rather silly. They are not able to make a conclusion. Their natural conditions of life are not variety. Therefore, presence of people is dangerous for them. If the penguin has fallen to a back, it cannot turn over. It is arranged so anatomically. In natural conditions it falls only on a stomach. The penguin appears in a difficult situation when it has fallen to a back. But their curiosity is stronger than fear of danger. They come whole the company on station to observe, when something occurs at station. All is safe, if the car passes or the plane arrives. The problem arises, if the plane flies up. Penguins observe of plane when it flies up very attentively. Penguins that are at the rate of the plane fall on a back when the plane passes a point of zenith. And “the person who overturns penguins” is hurry to help poor birds.
This history is pleasant to me very much. Even if it is thought up.

What is pleasant in home duets? That it is possible to do this work every day and it does not come to an end. For example: to feed small children. You like to feed small, disobedient, inaccurate children? And our dog Masha very much liked to do this work. The child requires that his hands frequently should be washed. Especially kid requires it during a dinner. She had a possibility to do it with her tongue. Cleared babies hands of a dirty, traces of porridge and crumbs of bread. At the same time she cleaned “removed” slices of sausage, cheese and a sandwich from hands. The small child drops something on a floor very often. It is necessary to clean it too. Sweets, apples, a cake. Masha did it very quickly. As a real professional. As a result my children have learned to eat quickly and to be accurate during a dinner. Masha watched it strictly.
Lada is very glad of spring. She knows that we replace indoor plants in the spring. And Lada likes to help to do it very much. She helps to get plants from old pots. Also she does not understand, why we throw out those plants which she has got. Plants cannot simply go through “massage” which Lada makes them. My family go in park for all the day every spring. Go without me. They take only Lada. These trips are good for everybody: for me, family, Lada and for indoor plants …

Comments of Kira: It is possible to meet the grandmother when she comes on a visit with delicacy. It is possible to make together with mum a dinner. To work as the taster at this time. There is always a lot of work in the house.

In the some cynologic center the dog capable to reveal poachers with smell is prepared. Such dogs never existed. Was considered, that dogs are capable to find only the weapon, drugs and disappeared people. The dog belongs to breed of labradors. Dog have brought on a smell of a fish of sturgeon breeds, now it is trained to react on caviar aromas. And it is considered a sensation? And I cannot understand in any way, what here unusual? If to explain to a dog, that it should search, it will perform any work. Dogs search a truffle.

Six years ago in our house French mastiff has appeared. Once phone has called and our friends have asked to rescue the puppy that eats nothing. It was examined by the doctor and he has found at puppy no illness. But the puppy eats nothing. In the age of two months the puppy of French mastiff weighed 2,7kg. This weight is considered low even for the monthly puppy of this breed. The puppy did not grow, did not develop and did not die. Nobody understood, what happened with it. We doubted for a long time, but eventually have agreed to try to correct position. Our friends should bring the puppy next day. To tell you the truth, we fairly worried expecting this puppy. We have not experience of the decision of such problems too. But there was nothing to lose and we have decided to try. We have fallen in love in her at once as soon as have seen. She has come not in our home. She has come in our hearts. We have named her Lada in honor of east Slavs goddess of love. Goddess Lada was considered as the promother of a life. Gods help was obviously necessary for us. We could make nothing some days. We simply helplessly observed of the baby. Most of all Lada liked to sleep on a palm of a hand. And Lada was not necessary for it more place. She held on a palm of the adult person. It was hard for her to go. Her head was too heavy for her body. Only eyes shined a life on her charming muzzle. We were close to despair. Lada seldom agreed to eat a small slice of cheese. She did not want anything more is. We tried to tempt her with meal. We fed of other dogs at her presence. Lada did not pay attention. Made other dogs elicit a meal. It did not make any impression on Lada. Put Lada on a lunch table and offered her delicacies during a dinner. Lada fell asleep among plates. I have decided to give her to drink a tincture of medicine plant (Artemisia) for fear and despair. I have made her drink fifteen drops of tincture. It was very hard to look at the puppy during this moment. She badly felt herself and tested awful bitterness in a mouth. And we did not allow her to drink. Lada was in desperate position. She has begun to eat dairy porridge. With huge effort, without any desire, but she began to eat. In the evening after five drops of tincture she already knew how to rescue herself - by meal. And Lada began to eat next day. Simply to eat. We were very helped by the following diet: a crude beef, a boiled rice and eggs of a small hens (coturnix). This mix has made a miracle. Lada has strongly changed in a week. It was a fountain of a life, the ordinary puppy who wanted to be simultaneously in several places. That she could learn more, and try, and eat. We had to watch, that Lada did not elicit a meal at adult dogs. Our adult dogs will always share meal with the puppy. And Lada used it with the great pleasure. We have understood, that Lada is our dog. When a month later there have arrived former owners, we have agreed, that Lada will live with us. So in our house began on one dog more. And our hearts began more for one more life.

My experience suggests me, that three components are necessary for good growth and evolution of the puppy: good food, physical activity and constant brainwork of the puppy. And the owner should provide these conditions for the puppy. Many clever books about good feed have been written. We won’t talk about it in detail today. Just some main points. It should be high-calorie and provide the puppy with necessary minerals and vitamins. Physical activity is not the topic of today’s conversation either. Let’s talk how to bring up a clever dog. I always encourage curiosity of the puppy. The puppy should learn as much as possible in the childhood. It raises his chances of becoming a clever dog. But it is not enough for the puppy to be only curious. He should understand about what he sees. If the puppy has become interested in something, I try to keep his attention longer. For example, if his attention is drawn by a ball, I’ll show him that a ball can slide on a floor, jump, lie still in the corner of the room, or can be bitten. If the puppy is interested in a door, it is necessary to show him how the door closes, how it can clap loudly, what happens if he appears on its way when it’s closing. The puppy should learn different qualities of things. The process of training will consist of comparison. If you learn the puppy to compare things and phenomena, you’ll teach him to think. Dialogues are of great importance for the puppy too. It is very good, if these dialogues are various. It is necessary for the puppy to be able to communicate not only with adult dogs but also with the puppies of the same age. It is necessary for him to find and realize his place in the world of dogs and the world of people, to understand, that this place is not permanent. And it means that it is necessary follow (to see after) this place. For this purpose he should see after himself and his behavior. To do so means to (it is required to follow itself. To follow the behavior. Means, it is necessary to) think constantly. The result won’t wait longer: a clever, thinking dog will be near you. Your dog will never be condemned: “an unguided dog”.
